Kings Heath Running Club competes in:
- Midland Counties Women’s League – Division 2

The cross country season runs from November to February, with race distances of approximately: 6km for women & 10km for men. We also take part in:

What You’ll Need
Trail shoes or spikes are recommended—but not essential if you just want to give it a go.
Club Kit & Membership
To race in cross country events, you must be:
- A paid-up club member
- Wearing the official Kings Heath RC black vest or t-shirt (orange or other variations aren’t allowed for races)
League match entries are covered by your membership, while relay events may have a small individual cost.
Who Can Race?
Everyone! All abilities are welcome, whether you’re chasing podiums or just love running in the great outdoors.
Scoring for league races:
- Top 4 women finishers contribute to the team score
- Top 6 men finishers contribute to the team score
Training & Legendary Picnics
We run off-road sessions in Swanshurst Park, open to all members, and recommend Cofton parkrun—whether you’re racing cross country or not.
And yes, our Cross Country picnics are legendary. Come for the mud, stay for the snacks.
