Cannon Hill parkrun takeover 15th September

KHRC will be filling all volunteer roles at Cannon Hill parkrun on 15th September – it’s a special run as we’re using the popular alternative trail route. Meet at Holders Lane Playing Fields. After the run we’re taking over the Gorilla Cafe in Kings Heath for a celebration breakfast. 


The next 5K and Beyond programme starts 13th September 2018

The club is delighted to announce the next date for our To 5K and Beyond programme. Our next programme starts on the Thursday 13th September 2018.

The course is specifically designed for absolute beginners—no previous experience is necessary—if you can put one foot in front of the other then your welcome to join us! This programme has been run seven times previously and has seen many people transition to becoming regular runners. 🙂 There is no cost to join in. It’s absolutely free and all are welcome! We will meet every Thursday at 6:50 p.m. at Colmore School.

If you wish to participant we require you to fill in a simple registration form.

March 10th: Cannon Hill Dusk Run

A run to celebrate a beautiful urban park that belongs to the people of Birmingham, our running community and the benefit of outdoor exercise.
ALL WELCOME. 

Meet 5:45pm at the bandstand. Bring your torches, head torches, lanterns, glow sticks.
Perimeter path, 1.8 miles approx – 1 lap or 2- your choice. 

If you are driving, please don’t park in the Russell Rd car park as the gates will close at dusk.

KHRC Host the Birmingham Cross Country League

Kings Heath running club are excited to host the first race we’ve organised in the history of the club.  The women of the Midlands league and the men of the Birmingham leagueg will be running cross country at Cofton  Park on 13 January. Athletes: please come in good time as street parking will be limited and there may be a little bit of walking for you to get to the race. KHRC club members: If you haven’t got a job already, please come along at about 1 o’clock and join our Cheering  station.  the women’s race begins at 1:30 PM, and the men’s race begins at 2:30 PM. The weather forecast is good!


5K and Beyond Programme begins 4th January

The club’s course for absolute beginners, To 5K and Beyond, begins on  4th January. It’s absolutely free and all are welcome! We’ll meet every Thursday at 6:50 p.m. at Colmore School.

Cannon Hill parkrun takeover 30th September

KHRC will take over all volunteer roles at Cannon Hill parkrun on 30th September, and offer a pacer team from 20-40 minutes. Join us there!

pacing squadKHRC takes over Cannon Hill parkrun on April 15th. This will include a pacing squad, offering odd times from 19 to 35 minutes. A good day to bag a pb – Don’t forget your barcode!
Breakfast at Umberslade Nursery  immediately afterwards, and Station Social in the evening.
